Fun Frostbite - Monday 28th December 2009
A few of our hardy club members had lack of shooting withdrawl symtoms over Christmas and braved +1 degree C temperatures to shoot arrows. No Rounds were shot.
Many thanks go to Tracey S and Babs G for providing the food to keep us going. The shoot would have been unbearable without the brazier to keep the cold out and of course, the male ingenuity, to provide a cooking platform to heat the hot dogs and onions.

Five Club Archers Represent the County
Five members of Nethermoss represented Lancashire County in the annual Northern Counties match (6 Counties) over the weekend 3rd & 4th October. Jack Grogan represented the Junior Squad on Saturday in appalling weather conditions. The match was abandoned after lunch with Jack declared the overall N.C.A.S. Junior male Recurve Champion. He already is N.C.A.S Junior Champion for the Clout, and indoor Categories from shoots this year.

Last 252 Certificates of the Season
On Saturday 3rd October, James Roberts received his 1st Class badge award and William Charnley his 252 Certificate for 30 yds. William, given the opportunity of shooting one more outdoor Handicap would have most certainly shot his third qualification score to gain his 1st Class badge.
Both these young archers showed their shooting potential by shooting scores over and above 3rd & 2nd Class qualification. They do realise though that, there are two younger archers close on their heals.
On the last shoot of the outdoor season, Thursday 1st October, five new members gained their 252 awards at various distances.
Back row L to R: John Scanlon and Gill Heddon (20 yards).
Front row L to R: James Roberts (30 yds), Oliver Johnson and Harrison Moss (20 yds).
A high standard of shooting from all five archers has been achieved. Their future in archery looks very promising.
