Summer Solo's
Congratulations go out to Will Charnley who has been participating in the Scottish Archery, Summer Solos Postal League. Each month juniors from around the country submit their best score shooting 3 dozen at the shortest metric distance for their age on an 80cm target face.
Participating in Recurve Division One, Will had the top score in June with 340 points and 2nd highest score in July with 331 points placing him top of the Division.
Red Progress Award Badge For Oliver Johnston
Oliver Johnston proudly showing off his Red Progress Award badge presented to him on Tuesday 24th August 2010. He also shot a PB of 272 at 30 yds on the the same night. We don't think it will be long before he gains his Gold Progress Award badge!
First Six Gold End
Young Megan Charnley managed to shoot her first Six Gold End after only a few weeks of starting Archery. Megan, and brother Will have already shown that they have great potential. We have no doubt they will be seen collecting awards at competitions very soon.
More Progress Awards For Our Juniors
Three of the Nethermoss juniors have earned more progress awards for their Archery skills. Club Secretary Tony Hoe awarded the progress badges, to Will Charnley (Red Badge), James Roberts (Blue Badge), and Oliver Johnston (Blue Badge). The youngster’s dedication, and competitiveness within the sport of Archery, is a credit (as it is with all the Nethermoss juniors) to them all.
Junior Progress Awards
On Saturday, 13th March 2010, Junior progress awards were presented to Jack Grogan and Andy Freeman who achieved blue badges, and Harrison Moss who achieved the first red badge of the club. 14 badges have been awarded over the indoor season with the required minimum score increasing as the level of proficiency increases. Well done to all
