Saturday the 17th December saw members of the club enjoying their Xmas fun shoot and frivolities’. We shot a ‘positive’ and ‘negative’ round. After each end (3 doz total) a disc is spun to decide if the shot arrows score as shot (positive) or they are reversed (negative). Tracey Scott (longbow) won the fun event. Both Shelly & Paul Blundell shot a ‘Robin Hood’ each (ouch!)
After the shoot members and friends went to the Dog & Gun Inn for Xmas Dinner where Big Jim contributed £2 forfeit to the ‘do not come to full draw in the pub fund’. Which he managed on 2 separate occasions.

The Outdoors end of season annual dinner was held in Ormskirk at the Fiver Ways public house and restaurant, 1st October 2011. Pat organised the dinner and requested that all should pre-order their meals. Barry Hignet was not too happy with the meals' selection and requested lobster - the bigger the better!
Club members got him a plastic lobster. Another very enjoyable evening with members' Ipods providing the background music.
The ever popular social nights of the club members, family and friends are now established as a regular twice a year event.
Our second visit to the Hesketh Arms, Rufford proved another great success. We gave the management a big headache when we booked for 50 people. But the Hesketh management and staff did us proud. Not one complaint was raised. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals that arrived hot and, despite the 50 covers, in a timely manner.
We wish to thank the management for the complimentary wine and Mel for her excellent organisation.
